Lera Ost

In my paintings and sculptures, I explore the concept of metamorphosis through fear, hope, and the search for meaning. My work is marked by a dark aesthetic, precise detail, and bold contrasts. I use eco-friendly materials and innovative techniques, including ultra-black Vantablack paint, to intensify emotional depth and visual impact.

After relocating to the Netherlands in 2024, I found new inspiration in its creative and supportive environment. Here, I continue to develop large-scale projects, combining painting, sculpture, and installation to reflect on human transformation and the ecology of both inner and outer worlds.

Born and raised in Ukraine, my artistic voice is rooted in personal and cultural experience. I hold a Master’s degree in Fine Arts, and have worked across disciplines — from curating exhibitions to producing site-specific work for private and commercial spaces. For years, I also mentored young artists, helping them find and shape their own creative identities.
