The work Riot arose from experiences of time, which alters our perception of space and of ourselves.
It investigates the energy born at points of tension and the force that emerges when certainty dissolves. These moments—fractures in continuity—unleash impulses to survive, to preserve integrity, and to reconfigure identity. Riot traces how temporal pressure compresses and stretches memory and body, how past and future collide within the present to produce new intensities.
Rendered across physical and digital layers, the piece maps rupture as a generative condition. Surfaces become sites of accumulated histories; light, sound, and motion register the push-and-pull between endurance and erosion. In this interplay, vulnerability and resilience are not opposites but co-creators: the urge to maintain form gives rise to inventive transformations.
Riot asks viewers to inhabit that threshold where certainty unravels—inviting recognition of the forces that drive survival and the emergent powers that transmute fracture into possibility.
